Your Guide to July 4th Weekend Activities & Family Fun
Celebrate the holiday weekend with lakeside fun, live entertainment, festive dining, and family-friendly activities at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks. From relaxing by the water to making memories together, it’s the perfect destination for a holiday getaway filled with summer fun.
Thursday, July 2nd
- 7am - 11am: Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar in JB's Boathouse Grill
- 6pm - 9pm: LandShark Live at the Tiki Hut Pool Bar featuring Rick Lamb.
*During the holiday weekend, we will have a ‘Thank You’ station available for guests in the LOZ Activities Room to write thank you letters to military members. After the weekend, staff will collect the letters and deliver them to a local military unit.
Friday, July 3rd
- 7am - 12pm: Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar at JB's Boathouse Grill
- Beginning at 9am: Great American Passport Challenge. An all day event with fun tasks and activities to earn stamps
on your passport. Prizes for participants with the most stamps on their book! - 11am - 5pm: All American Cookout at Lakeside Pool. Additional cost applies.
- 12pm - 3pm: Caricature Artist. Located at the Windrose Marker 26 Patio, offering unique drawings to cherish family memories for years to come. Complimentary for hotel guests.
- 12pm - 6pm: DJ on the Deck at Lakeside Pool. Listen to great music and enter family-friendly contests for prizes.
- 1pm: Limbo Contest
- 3pm: Cornhole Contest
- 4pm - 6pm: Popcorn in the Main Lobby, complimentary for hotel guests.
- 4pm - 7pm: Face Painting with Merry Mary in the Main Lobby
- 5pm - 7pm: Live Steel Drum Entertainment featuring Candice Hill in the hotel lobby.
- 6pm - 9pm: LandShark Live at the Tiki Hut featuring live entertainment by Cody West.
- 6pm - 7:30pm: Paint N Sip at LOZ Activities. Additional fee of $15 per person and includes a drink voucher or margarita.
- 8pm - 9:30pm: S'Mores at Tradewinds Deck. Weather permitting. First come, first served.

Saturday, July 4th

- 9am - 9:30am: Water Aerobics, located at Tradewinds Pool. Will be moved to the Indoor Pool if there is inclement weather.
- 10am - 10:30am: Bracelet Making at LOZ Activities. Complimentary for resort guests. All ages welcome.
- 11am - 5pm: All American Cookout at Lakeside Pool. Additional cost applies.
- 12pm - 3pm: Caricature Artist at Windrose Marker 26 Patio. Complimentary for hotel guests.
- 12pm - 6pm: DJ on the Deck at Lakeside Pool. Listen to great music and enter family-friendly contests for prizes.
- 1pm: Hula Hoop Contest
- 2pm - 2:30pm: Water Bucket Ball at Tradewinds Deck. A kid-friendly “cup-pong” game all about laughter, good aim and cooling off on a hot day!
- 2:30pm - 3pm: Snow Cones at Lakeside Deck
- 3pm - 4pm: Bouquet Making Class. Guests will learn to arrange flowers into a professional looking bouquet. Located in LOZ Activities. Additional cost of $35 per person applies.
- 5pm - 6pm: Museum Heist at LOZ Activities. Collect the gems. Crack the vault. Rewrite history. All ages welcome. Complimentary for resort guests.
- 6pm - 9pm: LandShark Live at the Tiki Hut Pool Bar featuring live entertainment by Jeff Nations.

Sunday, July 5th
- 7am - 12pm: Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar at JB’s Boathouse Grill
- 9am - 9:30am: Parent Child Aquatics (PCA) Swim Lessons. Class focuses on water acclimation, safety, and bonding, with a parent in the water for ages 6months - 3 years old. Complimentary for hotel guests, parent must accompany child. Meet at the Tradewinds Pool. Will be moved to the Indoor Pool if there is inclement weather.
- 9:30am - 10am: Preschool Aquatics at the Tradewinds Pool. Learn water safety and basic swimming techniques. Beginner swim lessons promoting independence and safety. Geared for youth ages 4-5 years old. Complimentary for hotel guests, parent must accompany child. Will be moved to the Indoor Pool if there is inclement weather.
- 10am - 10:30am: Tie Dye Work Shop at Picnic Grove featuring custom bandanas & scrunchies. Complimentary for resort guests. All ages welcome.
- 2pm - 2:30pm: Water Balloon Baseball at the Margaritaville Pickleball Courts. Trade bats for pool noodles and curveballs for water balloons in a fast-paced game where staying dry is impossible and having fun is mandatory. Complimentary for resort guests. All ages welcome.
- 2pm - 5pm: Live Music at the Tiki Hut Pool Bar Featuring Jeff Nations
- 5pm - 5:30pm: Pie Eating Contest, location TBD. Sweet treats meet fierce competition at the most delicious showdown of the holiday weekend. Complimentary for resort guests. All ages welcome.
