  • What are some of the hiking trails?

    There are 12 hiking trails throughout Lake of the Ozarks State Park with varying degrees of length and difficulty. The mild, 1.5-mile Lake Trail hugs the rocky shoreline and is partly shaded by ferns. Covering 3.25 miles, the moderate Woodland Trail makes its way through the Patterson Hollow Wild Area. More adventurous hikers will be drawn to the rugged, 13.5-mile Trail of the Four Winds, which boasts streams, ponds, and breathtaking views of the lake.

  • Where can i go swimming?

    Lake of the Ozarks State Park boasts two very appealing sandy beaches. Public Beach 1 is accessible just off Highway 134 and Public Beach 2 is in the Grand Glaize section of the park off of Highway 54 near the Grand Glaize Bridge. Amenities include bathrooms, changing rooms, picnic tables, and a children's playground. There are no lifeguards on duty and pets are not permitted on either of the beaches.
